We use 8x8 primarily for patient communication. This product has helped us streamline the use of a single main line while being able to take calls remotely. Scheduling and managing appointments has become much much easier since implementing this system. Since we often see patients offsite as well, 8x8 mobile has allowed us to keep our personal numbers private, setting the office number as the caller ID. This also looks more professional, considering we are a small practice and do not have a centralized call center.
  • Call integration with office desk phones.
  • Voice quality on mobile app.
  • Text communications with patients who are hard of hearing.
  • Admin console being shareable to other users.
  • Setting desk phone as main audio/mic source without additional inputs.
  • Admin console access on desktop app vs web.
8x8 is well suited for our small private practice. Even though we are close to each other, it makes managing and transferring calls effortless. Concurrent calls are also a strong suit. Even if two people are logged into the same user account, being able to answer two lines at the same time and flip between devices is a great feature to have.

Our previous provider has a messy interface, lack of support and consistent failures in service. Dropping calls multiple times with one customer is not what any business wants. We server international customers as well and many of the services I explored could not support that. 8x8 X Series has given us a clean interface to work with, easy metrics to review and we have had no interruptions in service. Our team is pleased with the ease of use and the quality if each call we make.
  • User friendly interface and visually appealing
  • Excellent Admin support and access to training
  • Ease of use for all users
  • Excellent support all around
  • Warm call transfers on the desktop app
  • More visibility or choices on default messages and hold music
  • Making sure users know they cannot do a Barge, Whisper or Monitor group without hardware
This is good for small businesses looking for a great way to manage calls. Work from home companies who need to connect their users with each other.

Talking self training & Demo for self understanding of the application and usage. The Product solves many problems such as its voice for MS teams, providing PSTN connectivity to many countries, Superior voice & video clarity, sms and team chat options etc.Scope is I have implemented it for the clients who has issues with traditional/legacy phone systems , got thier numbers ported and system moved across 8x8.
  • Traning content helps if got stuck somewhere
  • 8x8 Ui is user freindly ,thus navigaion becomes easy
  • At this point, getting connected to actual agent/executive is difficult as vitual agent is not able to answer queries properly
  • Introduce AI technology soon
Well 8x8 can suit for any place which has internet connectivity and people do international calling.

Using 8x8 at a remote place where is poor internet, it would be very difficult to use

We work at the district. We have deskphones and 8x8 apps through out the school. We want to be able to manage bulk number of accounts, devices at one. We don't want to manually modify each devices.

For admin, like to have some of these features.
1. Reporting/trace call or failing calls. Teacher report issue and we don't have away of troubleshoot this issue.
2. Backend server access, i.e., push out firmware on the handset.

  • Handle incoming calls on deskphone.
  • 8x8 apps is ease of use
  • Transfer and park calls are good
  • Smart phone app is good
  • Reporting and troubleshoot for incoming calls or fax
Ease of use. Price is right. Support many devices.

  • Admin Setup - Desktop
  • Call Routing of other Numbers to main number
  • Easier Phone Tree Menu Setup and Visualizations
  • Preventing Users from not getting calls in call queue by user disabling or working around
In my opinion, call queue doesn't seem to be working well all the time. Users are able to change status which affects call queue agents which needs to be disabled from admin

8x8 address the problem we have at work where we were unable to take our desk phones home without a site to site link to our home router. With 8x8 we are able to pick up our phone and take this anywhere to work from whether its home or at a different desk in the office for a change of scenery, its great.
  • Access anywhere to desk phones.
  • Customization for ring tones, volume levels, duration and mailbox settings.
  • Expandable phone systems throughout the workplace.
  • Although there is a lot of customization, the online portal is unfriendly.
  • Have to go through a partner to get support.
  • No local setting changes.
8x8 is suited for scaleable businesses who can get a reliable network connection. Businesses that cannot get internet will obviously struggle to use/maintain the system.

Users in different locations, this allows us one system accounts etc with different numbers that can link between offices 40 miles apart from each other. To keep admin costs down we and need the ability to take the number out of the office. The system allows me to operate anywhere from my mobile. When initially ordering I had reservations over whether or not the call quality would be sufficient. In the last 4 years the call quality has always been excellent. Support was great when starting up, but never needed it since as I never have any issues.

We are a managed services supplier. In doing this we work with 8x8 to implement new VOIP systems
This addresses issues to our clients looking for a new solution for their current phone system and VOIP resolves issues where the client is rural with poor signal
We currently only have a few clients using 8x8 but are constantly expanding and have heard great feedback so far
  • Initial setup
  • Customer support
  • Quality of service
  • Making the portal more user friendly to the customer
The best scenario we have used 8x8 for has been for a rural client who was using a mobile phone with patchy signal to make calls to their customers.
We implemented VOIP for them at their site and they can now make calls reliabily and they are incredibly happy with the result.

The desktop and mobile app allow us to not need deskphones and be more flexible with where we work. We are not tied down to a location and can work anywhere to help support our customers anytime. The ability to grab numbers quickly give us an advantage to putting together marketing campaigns quickly. Call flow routing with ring groups, call queues, and auto attendants are easy to set up and use.
  • Admin portal
  • Call flow
  • Applications
  • Desktop application needs to have a smaller window so it doesn't take up entire screen
  • Ability to send a call directly to a users voicemail from call flow
I think any scenario will be benefited by 8x8 X Series.

We use 8x8 for our entire phone system. All incoming calls come to me and then I easily transfer them using the 8x8 app on my phone. I also use the desktop app, which I find to be more clear than the IOS app. I also use 8x8 to set up new users for my company.
  • Easy Use
  • Clear Connection
  • Reliable
  • Setting up voicemail more seamlessly
  • Allowing Admin to update user photos for entire company for consistency of image
  • Moving the Meet Now button on the IOS app to a different location... it is easy to hit accidentally!
  • Putting the Hold button on the IOS app in a better location
  • Transcribe voicemails
We just use it as our phone service and it suits us well for our needs! Since we have not used it for any other feature, I cannot say there is a less appropriate use.

  • Simplifies management of Phone Numbers to.
  • Manages licenses for phone VoIP equipment.

  • Porting of numbers.

We use the 8x8 X Series service to connect all our sites on a Unified platform. We selected 8x8 X Series because of the features: Supports mutiple sites over the US and International VoIP setup with no additional on-prem equipement other than phones Uses standard Polycom equipment Easy to use end user portal, desktop app, and mobile app. The service and management of the service is very easy and have no trouble with it. I would have a given the system a 10, but I could not because, in my experience, the implementation was nothing but problems and I have been trying to resolve billing issues for 6 months to a year. Managing the phone system is a breeze, but for us I feel managing the account and all the issues with the front office team is impossible.
  • Reliable service
  • Easy to use
  • End user management portals
  • Mobile and desktop applications
  • I believe, account management is poor
  • In my experience, migrations / Transfer of service is poor
  • In my opinion, communication with front office teams is poor
When the system is setup it is fabulous for a multisite or global company with offices that need to communicate as one. In my experience, the major issues are getting onto the system, especially if you are migrating numbers, and dealing with the front office when there are account issues.

I use the 8x8 X Series every day for work, and it is very useful when I am not at my desk. Being able to answer the phone using my cell phone and not being tied down to my desk is the best use of it. Treating it like a cell phone also makes life easy.
  • 8x8 is very easy to use. It is very useful to move from one device to another.
  • Very easy to transfer calls.
  • As an admin, it's very easy to set up.
  • I would like to search for names instead of numbers.
  • Sometimes when transferring calls, the call will drop before that person is transferred.
Someone called the office, and I did a warm transfer to an employee to make sure the person would answer the phone, and before fully transferring the call, the phone beeped a few times. I wasn't sure the call went through. I thought it dropped. So I further investigated and found out it did.

We employ the 8x8 at one of our client's sites as their main VOIP solution, replacing a legacy Panasonic PBX. It's used as both a soft-phone access point as well as with some Polycom devices.
  • 8x8's account setup is very simple and hassle free.
  • 8x8's inherent portability as a soft-phone makes it very convenient for the employees such as Regional Sales managers who work across the country to get up and running with a dedicate work line.
  • 8x8's offering SSO, allows for one less credential for our end-users to keep track of.
  • I'd like to see the ability to record voicemail greetings within the app.
My experience with 8x8 is extensively related to the administration and deployment for one of our managed service clients. If you're an IT Admin, manager, or business owner in need of a simple, no-nonsense soft-phone/VOIP system with little to no headache, 8x8 should be one to consider.

Most of our workforce is working from home. 8x8 helps us by giving flexibility to our users, admins and contact center agents. The admin console is easy to navigate and use while the contact center configuration manager is simple yet offers complex features. We have also integrated with Microsoft teams for that MS Teams familiar interface for our users.
  • Easy Administration
  • Unlimited domestic calling
  • Easy user adoption
  • 8x8 frontline support lacks understanding the issues.
  • Documentation is sometimes outdated.
  • Troubleshooting complex network issues is difficult
X series is well suited for the remote workforce and users that want flexibility with receiving their calls on the go while still utilizing their business identity. Although 8x8 can support larger environments, ours often has issues retrieving information form contact directories due to size.

We use 8x8 as our primary phone system. Our admins use the 8x8 Work version w/Front Desk and everyone else uses 8x8 w/Teams integration.

We didn't have any specific problems to be addressed, but we needed an updated phone system and software. The scope of use is total.
  • Ability to use the filters to make name searching easier
  • Administrative access is easy to use in setting up audio files and phone schedules
  • Teams Integration
  • Caller ID is good when calls come in, but caller ID doesn't show up in call history. We don't know which number belongs to anyone. The caller ID I see when calls come in is gone in the history
  • Too many clicks when using Front Desk from caller to recipient
  • The shortcut keys are too elaborate! I changed the shortcut keys for answering and hanging up calls, but there is no ability to simple place a call on hold only using a shortcut - and I can't change any of the shortcut keys except for the first 3 and only 2 of them are ones I use most.
  • The 8x8 app crashes in mid-call sometimes and has to be restarted.
  • Having to "park" a call to pick up another call coming in is a hassle. Too many clicks! Again the shortcut keys are too elaborate to use efficiently.
  • The screen color is too stark and hard on the eyes. The ability to change the background color would be amazing.
  • Conference calling is unavailable because the 8x8 app doesn't interface with users with Teams Integration and not everyone uses a handset phone.
  • Why doesn't 8x8 work with the physical phone? Sometimes I don't want my earpiece in and I can't use the 8x8 app and the phone together. Also, when a call is transfered on the poly phone, there is no caller ID attached if a caller leaves a voicemail.
Honestly, it's a phone software that can be cumbersome in operation due to the number of clicks necessary to get a call through. On a typical tax season day, I am routing up to 20 calls per hour as well as making calls. I want the ability to efficiently move a call through while providing the same excellent customer experience to all our clients in their years with us. When a call gets dropped because the headset isn't interfacing properly (yes, we have the recommended headsets) sporadically, that means a caller has to call us back or I have to try and find out who they were to call them back. In general, the 8x8 app is working and is a good product. I'd like to see it do better.

We use 8x8 as a telephony system for IB &OB calls. Best part of 8x8 is it provides application for desktop and mobile which I believe non of the other company provides. The call routing features is awesome with all GUI based which makes admin to create and modify call flow very easily. This is a great platform.
  • Video and Audio conferencing
  • Mobile application
  • Messaging
  • Disposition customisation with API Trigger
  • API Integration
  • CRM integration
8x8 is well suited for small to mid size company where there is no requirement for Outbound dialing like Predictive, Progressive, IVR Blast etc.
For IB auto attended features 8x8 is the best platform to have. Call flow designing is really awesome and it easy to use. GUI is very user friendly.

We both use it as an inhouse system and also use it to demonstrate to potential customers. It is also resold to our clients providing a secure cloud based UC platform with excellent mobility options. Due to its flexibility, we are able to deploy this to different verticals with great success.
  • Deploying 3rd Party SIP devices
  • Provisioning of new devices
  • Ease of use of Administrative portal
  • Number Porting - requires more clarity on how numbers can be displayed and utilised
  • Time schedules are only available on either Contact Centre or Auto Attendant - these should be available to use on ring groups directly
  • Formatting on downloadable CSV's needs addressing.
8x8 is very well suited to office driven environments and where a workforce has a mobile element (sales reps, engineers). The system can be deployed in other verticals but the best results come from those deployments.

We use 8x8 to run all of our calls. It works great as we can sync it up with our personal cell phones so that we do not miss any client calls.
  • The app connecting to the cell phone is very useful
  • The text feature is something that is used often
  • They make it easy to manage the call flows in the admin portal
  • It could be nice to have a secondary call flow so that I could test things out without having to make actual changes to the way the calls are already handled.
I like it as it combines the regular phone service with chat features. It's almost like combining Teams or Slack with the call service.

We use the 8x8 platform for our small to mid-size customers. The portal is easy to manage and the apps work tremendously. I have installed dozens of 8x8 solutions and our customers love it.
  • Manage
  • Program
  • Applications for the desktop and mobile phone
  • Call Recording
  • Tech support, tier one is a little lacking
  • Caller ID issue. If you delete a call group or an AA that has the main number as the programmed number and that is the user's caller ID number, the caller ID under the user settings gets erased.
  • Cannot forward call recordings from the portal. You need to download it and then forward via email.
8x8 will cover all of your telephony needs. If you are programming the system yourself and need tech support, it's a bit slow getting a response.

We chose 8x8 X Series because of its ease of use, scalability, and customer service/training. Since I have been employed at Wagner, 8x8 X Series has always been reliable. We have had very little to no internal service ticket reports for 8x8 X Series. On the few occasions that we have had issues, we were able to identify and address the issue with ease using documented solutions on the 8x8 X Series support console or via the robust customer support team that have on a few occasions gone above and beyond to address our needs. Wagner primarily uses the VoIP system with conference calling and video meetings, messaging, and most importantly the flexibility to work on desktop and cell phone.
  • customer service response time and ability to address the issue
  • training and updates on new functionality
  • virtual office capabilities
  • sometimes it is difficult to understand the customer service representatives
Wagner Logistics is comprised of warehouses throughout the nation. The ability for our warehouse managers and other staff to work from a desktop or a cell phone; take calls, messaging, and video conferences has been invaluable.

We have multiple locations (4) throughout the country, including Hawaii. One of the most used features is the ability to dial anyone at any of these locations via a single extension. That cut long-distance phone bills to almost zero. The desktop and mobile app provide a seamless way for salespeople and at home workers to stay connected with colleagues and customers.
  • Quality of phone calls/service is outstanding. Few dropped calls, crystal clear conversations
  • Desktop app interacts seamlessly with physical desktop phones
  • Mobile app is seamless as well, syncing with the desktop rapidly and accurately
  • The service provides many, many options and controls for users and admins
  • I'd like the ability to delete old chat/SMS messages
  • When I delete a voicemail, I'd like to see a popup that gives me the option to delete the incoming phone number simultaneously instead of having to hop between "Calls" and "Voicemail".
  • When setting up new users and inviting them to download and install the desktop app, it would be nice if the invite could come from my company email rather than having to warn the new user to be on the lookout for an email from 8x8. I always have to send an email reminder to the new user who may have deleted the email from 8x8 because they didn't recognize it. This adds extra steps as an admin to the process.
The 8x8 X Series offers a full suite of options completely bundled and available to a company. Whether a very small company or large corporation, the tools are there, and scalable to suite your needs as you grow. The greatest thing about this is that 8x8 doesn't nickel and dime for every feature. You might not use more than a few (i.e. video, chat, phones, conference calls, private chat rooms) or you might need more details about the organization with analytics, reports, or if you're a larger organization which has a receptionist who needs the dashboard to route and park calls, it's all available. The pricing is predictable, no surprises. Their knowledge base is extensive and straightforward and their customer service is outstanding.
